LUX Salon

I went to Shacklewell Studios last Thursday for a free Secret Cinema screening called Private Practice – four short films, put on by LUX Salon. It was interesting, very uncomfortable seating but nice to sit in a small dark room with maybe 20 strangers watching a selection of films that we knew nothing about beforehand.  There was one film about Joseph Cornell by Lawrence Jordan which I liked – I know very little about Cornell apart from the fact of there being a Clientele song named after him, and the following factoid

‘His last major exhibition was a show he arranged especially for children, with the boxes displayed at child height and with the opening party serving soft drinks and cake.’
